Original concept idea came from the site of the establishment. Wooded area makes the building resemble a country house in a forest resort - a kind of place a tired city resident craves for. Client’s wish was to entwine design with a New York interior theme. The whole concept is formed of eco-advancement coupled with luxury american hotel atmosphere. The parlor is an iconic place for those who value high-level service and comfort, in particular when it comes to quality hairdressing and cosmetology. The place creates a certain form of companionship: visitors make acquaintance, share their secrets of cosmetic care routine and sometimes just make appointments in the lounge for a heart-to-heart conversation with a glass of fresh juice.
SPACIAL CONNECTIONS
In current layout of the building a hall, a lounge and a hair salon are arranged on the ground floor. A significant task of the planning was to avoid solid partitions - displays with products effectively provide required zoning instead. The 1st floor accommodates isolated beauty parlors, a solarium and an open zone for manicure and pedicure. Administrative rooms, staff room and a space for a potential tattoo shop are arranged in the basement. Such layout scheme zones out the whole volume of the building in an accurate technological way, causing no trouble in operation.
DETAILS
The idea of interior facing is based on combining eco-theme and new-york stylistics. Timber, natural stone and textured plaster are used on multiple surfaces, herringbone parquet planks applied to hall and lounge-zone flooring.
Bulk floors in hair salon have concrete texture and a warm color shade.
Walls are of calm and light colours, opposed to black aluminium window frames.
Italian Ditre and CattelanItalia furniture fulfils the project, hairdresser stands are custom-made. Professional equipment provided by Karisma and Pietranera.
